You just have to choose one of the two option. So don't worry, this quest is still done. If you do what the Pharmagician is asking you to do, once it is complete, you cannot do what Mel Boots suggested you to do. So you can either do what the Pharmagician asked you to do, or follow the lead given to you by Mel Boots.įulfilling one of these option will complete your quest. Either gather some material to create a potion against the effect of alcool or, acquire a magical umbrella that will protect you againts demon and their magic. When you receive that quest, your heroes are receiving two lead that would help you fulfilling that quest. Make sure you backtrack a lot and be very inquisitive about everything. Sometime, you have to come back to places you've already been way earlier in previous chapter to discover that things have changed and some npc are not offering a side quest when previously, they were not. All the side quest also are not always appearing right away when you are visiting a place for the first time. Some of them are a bit hidden and out of the way of the main story line. If despite all that, you have done everything like all the npc asked you in their side quest and you still didn't unlocked that achievement mayyybe you didn't found all the side quest like you thought you did. Sometime, to get something, you have to make some sacrifice. Even if doing what he/she is asking you to do is not in your best interest or is a really boring choice and is really poor reward for you. In any case, my advice is.if you really want to do that achievement, you kinda have to really do what the npc is asking you to do, regardless of your own interest and opinion in the matter. If you decide to wallop the bandit but keep the gold for yourself after that, i believe the achieve will call that quest as "failed". I think also the side quest of the tavern's stolen gold for example is the same thing. (In the sense that.you didn't achieve what the quest was asking you to do in the first place.) If you tell him you didn't find any and you are deciding to keep the crate for yourself, than i would assume the achievement would also count that quest as "failed". Like when Mel Boots is asking you to bring back a crate of wine from the wine cellar. Unlike Dwalin's sacred axe which it was verified and confirmed to be working like this, I have not verified all of them, but i am assuming that maybe some of the other side quest COULD work the same. Thus preventing you from obtaining/validating it. If you have decided to keep it for yourself and not give it back, than that quest is considered "failed/not done" by the achievement. So already finding it is not immediatly obvious.īut what's the most important to know is.you have to BRING IT BACK AND RETURN THE AXE to the Dwarf npc to validate that side quest. ![]() The second part only appear in the tavern of Urik's Dept once you have completed the first part. Most of the time, one the side quest that peoples not always forget, but "fails" without knowning it, is the second part of "The Sacred Axe Of Dwalin One-Eye". ![]() Since we don't know what side quest you have done, i'll be assuming here that you have found and did them all.īut yes, you can "fail" some of the side quest depending on your choice of answer and action. (since it was created way before the DLC was even made.) The achievement for the side quest only count the side quest that are in the main game. Did you checked what i wrote down there ? Funny, i've anseered the exact same question about 2 days ago in the English forum here.
